CAPITALIA Banking Group is born from synthesis of two existing banking groups,
Bancaroma and Bipop-Carire Group.
Capitalia is the Holding Company for the new banking group and is responsible
for defining the strategic guidelines for the operating subholdings and drafting
the Group industrial plan. Through its actions Capitalia strives to render
better, more efficient services and products to its clients and thereby increase
the value of the Group companies for its shareholders.
The main Companies of the Group are:
- Banca di Roma, Bipop-Carire and Banco di Sicilia, which carry out traditional
banking activities;
- Fineco, focused on consumer banking activities (asset management, bancassurance,
consumer credit, leasing etc.);
- MCC (formerly called Medio Credito Centrale) focused on corporate and investment
banking activities.
